Among other things, springtime of 2010 consisted of a trip to the beach to visit Auntie Sarah and Austin and Danny. We had a fun easter egg hunt and enjoyed a trip to the beach which was a first for Maysie. Upon arriving at the ocean Maysie shouted "water!" and ran as fast as her legs could carry her through the dry sand and into the wet sand where she was surprized to find that the water MOVED! As did the sand under her feet and she got her first taste of cold ocean water:) She was fine after the initial shock of the event wore off and really seemed to like the way the sand felt and tasted. Meanwhile the seagulls were taunting Scout and he was determined to pull my arm off so he could go sample one. By the time we were ready to go home Maysie looked like a life size piece of sand art as she was soaking wet and all of the sand was sticking to her:) Fun times!
Maysie recieved a handmade quilt from granna. It is so beautiful! She has since made a matching pillow for Maysie as well.
We dyed our easter eggs naturally this year with spinach, beets, and yellow onions. They looked magnificent!
Scout and Danner are well, they continue to be good buddies and sometimes they run through the house and play chase and wrestle each other. It's quite hysterical!
As a side note we also decided to start the adoption process again in January of 2010. Much to our dismay we had to complete all of the same paperwork over again, but on the bright side our caseworker gave us a helpful tip and said to just copy and paste the old info into the new paperwork and change the things that were no longer the same:) Thanks Wayne!
