Scout found us two rattle snakes this past spring/summer. We are very thankful that he seems to have figured out how to stay back and NOT get bit! He has a very distinct "snake bark" and I know without a doubt when I hear that bark that he's found a rattler. Unfortunately for Danner, Scout didn't find this snake until after he did and he got nailed on the front paw. Mark and I took him to the vet and let ourselves in because it was after hours. Dr. Carmody instructed us on how much injectable pain meds to give him and we gave him some subcutaneous fluids as well. He was right as rain in a couple of days. Mark took care of this one with his .22 Bear Cat that Grama Warner gave him.
