Sweet Little Abbie
This is Hannah the horse. Maysie would have stood here ALL day!
I think this picture captures the essence of childhood. It makes me smile:)
Poor little Abbie was coughing up a storm by the time we left. But allergies aside I think she had a grand time smelling all the pretty flowers. We had a great time with Danielle and the kids at Daffodil Hill last week. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day or sweeter kids to hang out with all day.

Fairy Princess
Today was a fairy princess sort of day! Warm sunshine, green grass, chirping birds, and flowers. I took the opportunity to snap some pictures of our little fairy. Our fig tree has the perfect little crook in it's lower branch for sitting on:) You can see Maysie's irritation with me in the second picture for taking too long, the branch was less than cushy. I should have thought to take her shoes off for those pics too. And I love the last one of her "sniffy face" This is how Miss Maysie smells flowers, with her lips puckered up and her nose scrunched usually from several feet away. Oh, and lately she coughs after sniffing them and says they smell yucky. She keeps us laughing:)
Sweet Organization
This is the super awesome pantry that Mark built me. This used to be a portion of the hallway that went from the kitchen to the living room but we didn't need the hallway after we knocked the wall down between the two rooms:) I have tons of shelving, even a little spice shelf, a countertop to match the kitchen and a mini freezer. We still need to put the flooring down; we had extra from the rest of the house and it's going to look super snazzy! I'm so glad my husband is handy and creative!
Big Girl Room
I just recently got up the courage to move Maysie up to a toddler bed. I spent a couple days painting her new big girl furniture a pale sage green to match the kitchen that Uncle James and Auntie Kristie made her for Christmas. The vanity is a beautiful piece that some friends from church gave us when they moved into a smaller home. It turned out so cute! Maysie loves to stand in front of it and dance, I knew she would:) After a few days of napping in her big girl bed and sleeping in her crib at night we switched her over all the way and moved the crib and changing table into the nursery to wait for baby number two. She is really pretty good at staying in her bed and not playing with her toys. Although she still rolls out of it almost every night, usually more than once:) Without waking up I might add. She doesn't seem to mind sleeping on the carpet much. It's so fun to have her room all put together.
We LIVED!!...just barely
A Girl and Her Cat
We are very thankful that Danner is a sweet cat because Maysie bothers him from the time she wakes up to the time she goes to bed. She is constantly seeking him out and giving him hugs and kisses. I haven't caught it on camera yet but she puts the poor cat in a sort of head lock/choke hold to give him a kiss right on the nose. He is very tolerant of her excessive love for him. Thank you Danner for not slashing our beautiful daughters face...even if sometimes she may deserve it:)
