On April 2nd Mark and I joined several of his family members in a half marathon in San Francisco. For those of you who are not marathon savvy, that's 13.1 miles! The course was along the ridge tops around a portion of the bay called the Marine Headlands. It was absolutely breath-taking and incredibly brutal for those of us who had never done this before, (which was most of us!) We both ended up running way more of it than we had anticipated which was awesome. Lots of steep terrain and muddy bogs, beautiful wildflowers and views that couldn't be beat. We finished in 3 hours and 20 minutes. Mark bounced back much quicker than I; it was a few days before I could walk without limping. We LIVED!!...just barely
