A Song For You

Hi Granna and Papa Doodle!

Mommy thinks it's fun to tickle me til I have the hick ups. I hope you're staying warm in Montana. I wish it would stop being rainy because my playground is wet and icky. I got to swing today for a little while but then my fingers got frozen and mommy kept complaining that she was cold, so we went inside. Yesterday mommy put a blanket over my cave so it was dark inside, I like to put my babies inside there and play with my flashlight. I can't wait to see you again!

Love, Maysie Doodle

Armful of Babies

"Mommy, hold me and dance with my babies."
How could anyone refuse that request? Since it's been too yucky out to walk lately, Maysie and I do a lot of dancing. In this picture we are dancing with Big Pony, Addie Bear, Little Puppy, Big Puppy, and the sheep dog who was recently named Little Brother (He is the one with the owie on his neck, and surprisingly enough he still has on the bandaid that Maysie insisted he needed the other day)

Run Maysie Run

This was more of a test than anything. It seems I can upload videoes from my camera but not my cam corder?? Wrong file type or some such thing:( I guess I'll have to take some more videoes with my camera so Mom and Dad, you can see Maysie in motion. It's even cuter than still Maysie, if that's possible!

Blessings

I forgot to mention that we finally completed our adoption paperwork and were approved for a second adoption at the end of September. We are patiently waiting and though we're excited to welcome another little one into our home and our hearts we are quite content with the sweet little angel we have already been given. She is our "Amazing Maysie" as lots of people call her and that reminds me of song number 4 on my playlist. Makes me bawl every time I listen to it because Maysie is our proof that great blessings DO come to those who wait.

Some Serious Catch Up!

So, I have been extremely delinquent in posting for oh, the last 14 months. Please do not laugh at my attempts to catch up on over a years worth of photos and stories. I will do this in as orderly fashion as possible with a new post for each major event/season:)

Note: The posts get older as you go down the list

Please enjoy the music as well. I single-handedly figured out how to make a playlist AND add it to my blog, I am VERY proud of myself:)

Valentines Tea Party

I never much cared for tea parties as a child but having tea parties with your child is super fun! It was an icky rainy Valentines day this year so Maysie and I decided to get out my old tea set and have a snack. She liked pouring the juice from the little tea pot into the miniature cup but didn't like it when the lid fell off into her cup and made a mess. She actually got quite upset!

Cutest girl EVER sporting the cutest PJ's EVER!Maysie loves to DANCE

Our sweet little dolly

I made Maysie these cute pantaloons specifically to go with the little green top that was mine (pretty sure my Aunt Sharon made it and the little one for two of my dolls, a big one and a smaller one) But with a couple of modifications it fits Maysie quite well as a spring top:)
I'm actually considering opening a shop on Etsy and selling the pantaloons in different colors and styles, let me know what you think.

Giddyup

Maysie built this all by herself when I wasn't looking. I thought it was quite genius! You can tell she was very proud of her creation:)
Happy Birthday to my handsome, wonderful, ridiculously patient, loving, hard-working, car and gun collecting husband. I love you!

This big, brave girl can go down her slide all by herself!

BUBBLES!

Christmas morning at our new house
December Birthdays

For Christmas this year Uncle James and Auntie Kristie and the boys got Maysie her very own kitchen for her new bedroom!! James did a lot of work on it to make it cute.

First Happy Meal:)

Fall Activities, may or may not include the following...

Texture...blah. I'm glad Mark has big muscles because this was hard work, I did about five square feet and I was done! Mark did the whole house, in one night I might add.
Maysie loves to help daddy. Here she is handing daddy screws to secure the top deck on our new hearth.

This was a huge project!! It was not nearly as simple as I had expected it to be. Any dummy can stack rocks, right? Fitting all of the imperfectly shaped stones was actually quite complicated. It turned out beautifully though and to my great surprise, none of the rocks have fallen of the wall...yet.

Nailing up beadboard

Setting the stove with the help of Ben. I wouldn't have been any help, that thing weighed a ton!

Maysie's first trick or treating at Great Grama and Grampa Millers
KEYS! We closed escrow on our first home on October 29th 2010. It was very exciting!

Worlds littlest Viking, and cutest if I do say so myself!
