Really?

Maysie was climbing around on the toilet this afternoon inspecting it and I hear her say," K-O-H-L-E-R, that spells potty." HA HA Just thought I'd share:)

Music Thief

So, I'm going to openly admit that I'm a music thief. I'm a regular stalker of my friend Lora's blog and she has the BEST playlist, I often open her blog and minimize it just so I can listen to her great music picks, Maysie likes it too! I added a good number of her songs to my playlist so that all of you can enjoy it as much as I do:) It's not that I don't have favorite songs, it's just that I don't have the memory recollection to remember from the car to the computer what they were, much less who sang them. I know it's sad. At any rate, at least I have more than 10 songs on my playlist now:) Woo Hoo!
And...just so you all know, the Neil Diamond tunes were MY picks:) They take me, and Mark as I recently found out, back to our childhoods when we used to run around the house rockin' out to good old Niel Diamond:)

Maysie's First Car

Maysie and Michael and I made cars yesterday! Well, actually I made the cars, they scribbled on them with markers and then they had a blast driving them around and crashing into each other. Super cute, super easy, and super fun project that with any luck will provide hours of entertainment:)

I have since added a "trunk" to Maysie's car, because she was trying to carry around her babies, books, and groceries while driving which proved to be unsafe. I'm also thinking of adding some tin foil to her bumpers to make them look more realistic, and some hub caps too! Then I might insert LED bulbs into the lights so she could have headlights...just kidding. Hey, stay at home moms get bored:)

RED!

Some friends gave us this hutch a couple years ago when they moved into a smaller house and it has been sitting in the barn loft at Oma and Papa's til now. I had been drooling over a red kitchen hutch in the JC Penney catalog for a couple months when Mark reminded me of this piece of furniture. It originally had drawers all the way down the front but that looked too bedroomish so we removed those and put a curtain up. Mark is going to put a bottom in it eventually but in the meantime Maysie thinks it is a fun place to hide. I love the picture with only her feet hanging out;) I'm hoping I don't get tired of the color red anytime soon, it won't be easy to change:) I may get a slightly darker shade of red eventually and tone it down a tad.

*Our First Snow*

This was all mother nature could muster up for our "Big Storm" but it was still very pretty. Only lasted til about noon and the power didn't even go out, but I'm sure well see more this winter. Maysie was not as impressed with the snow flakes falling out of the sky as I thought she'd be, maybe I'm just strange, I could sit and watch it snow for hours!
Mark likes the picture of the house with all the vehicles in the driveway. He said the Jeep truck is saying to the other cars," HEE HEE, I got to sleep all warm and cozy in the garage...and you got snowed on." Only my Mark:) I'm sure he pulled it out of it's cozy garage just so it could be in the picture.

The Jukes Pizzaria

We made homemade pizza the other night. Maysie got to add the toppings to her very own mini pizza. She really liked eating the plain pizza dough, which is probably why she didn't have much room in her tummy for eating the finished, cooked product:) The one with the sausage and olives turned out pretty yummy, but I need to work on my white sauce for the Hawaiian pizza, it wasn't very flavorful.
