Our first post!

We can't believe how big our little Maysie is getting, and this isn't even a current photo! I need to download the pics off my camera. She started crawling this last week, and is really good at pushing herself backward and pivoting around. We haven't found any forward gears yet but we'll get there. She loves her new kitty, Danner(not to be mistaken for "dinner") and likes to tell us what the kitty says. Which as far as she's concerned is "eeee" not "meow". Lucky for Scout(the dog) he does say something that sounds like "woof". She's constantly babbeling about something and likes to listen to music so she can dance and sing.
Mark has been busy working on different jeep projects and has his Wrangler in a perpetual state of "almost" just the way he wants it. He ran water lines and built a fence for our garden, and worked very hard to get the rocks out of the garden plot! Unfortunately I'm pretty sure new rocks are growing as I write this post and there will probably be just as many to remove next year when we till the ground again! The veggies are growing good though, the deer are staying out and the gophers are keeping their distance so far, xxxxx, that's me crossing my fingers and toes. Maysie ate her first fist full of dirt while helping me in the garden the other day, after finally managing to scoot to the edge of her blanket she was disappointed to discover that dirt doesn't taste as good as she expected.
I've been enjoying what seems to be the perfect balance between being a mommy and working at the vet clinic 2 1/2 to 3 days a week. The adult conversation thing is good for my sanity. I enjoy working in customer service much more than I ever thought I would. There are times when I wonder though if people are getting crazier or if my tolerance for annoying, rude, seemingly retarded people is just diminishing. At any rate the cute animals make up for the occasional weirdo.
So I was just watching Maysie sitting on the floor chewing on her toes(which are painted a pretty iridescent pink, super cute) and thinking wouldn't it be great if we could all look so cute with chubby little dimpled thighs!
