Mommy Moment
So fortunately for me there are no pictures to accompany this post. Maysie and Scout and I went to Folsom Lake Dodge to get my cars oil changed this morning. I figured I could kill two birds with one stone by taking Maysie's hiking backpack and getting a good hike in on the trail that goes by Lake Natomas while my car was being serviced. Two minutes into our walk, we had to cross a little swampy area to get to the trail, while I stepped over the grass and mud Scout decided it would be more fun to go straight through it, in the process flinging mud all over my legs and WHITE bermuda shorts! So with the help of about 80% of the wet wipe supply we were on our way again complete with a muddy dog and brown splatter stains on my shorts and socks. We had a nice hike, Maysie took a little nap in her backpack with her super cute sun hat on and we made it back to the dealership about an hour and a half later just in time for our car to be finished. I was seriously craving something cold and yummy so we drove down to the jamba juice. Back at the car with cold yumminess in hand I was busy trying to unlock the door so we could get home and just like that Maysie grabs my drink and pulls the lid right off spilling ice cold Mango-a-go-go right down the front of both of us! She starts screaming because fresh made jamba juice is quite cold on bare toes, and I'm standing there right in the middle of the parking lot now with brown stains up my backside and yellow ones down the front thinking "why doesn't Jamba Juice have a drive thru?" So we use what's left of the wet wipes and get back into the car with what's left of my special cold treat and the strangest thing happens...I start laughing, laughing because I've never felt more like a mom in my entire life, and it feels wonderful!!
