Jukes Camping Trip Summer '09

We had such a fantastic time camping with our family at Donner Lake this year!! You just can't go wrong with swimming every day in the lake and eating smores every night around the campfire. The kids all had such a great time playing with each other. They enjoyed being a part of the music at campfire with their homemade instruments.

The kids were in a constant state of filth except for the 15 minutes right after bath time! Thank goodness for Trevor and Heidi bringing their baby corral and Bethany letting us borrow their stroller on occasion (we forgot ours) or my arms would still be tiered form holding Maysie the whole time. She eats anything that will fit in her mouth! The boys looked a little disgruntled in this picture because Austin had just come to the conclusion that his nerf ball shooting gun was broken and I had asked Steven to share his working one. Tyler was so cute when he fell asleep in the canoe; everyone who had a camera on them waded out into the lake to get his pic.

Mark found this cool tunnel that we could drive through, unfortunately the train did not come while we were there. I think Maysie would spend day and night sitting in a puddle if I let her. The kid just loves water! She was thrilled when I found a semi grassy area to set her down, the first thing she did was grab the nearest pine cone and stick it in her mouth.

We spent a lot of time hiking. Maysie is really happy in her backpack. I just had to get a pic of her sticking her head out the "doggie door" on our tent, it was really cute. Speaking of doggies, Scout did go camping with us but he's taken a bit of a back seat when it comes to being the primary subject of my photography. "Sorry Scout". He had a good time watching all the brave little chipmunks get almost close enough to "play" with! I noticed while posting these pics that Maysie has her NUK in her mouth in almost every one! We really don't usually let her have it this much but she was pretty spoiled on our vacation. Auntie B(Bethany) made Maysie this cute little beannie for her birthday, we decided it was a little piggy. Sooo cute!

Fun at the Park

We went to Bertelsen Park with Kelly and Roko the other day and had a really fun time. The water feature they have there for the kids to play in is super cool. Maysie was so brave and crawled straight through the middle of the tunnel while it was on full power!! I was so proud even though I had to save her about half way through when she realized she was still getting sprayed and started to get concerned. You get to do so many fun things once you have kids that were taboo or just plain weird for a while when you didn't , like go down the twisty slide in the park and sing songs in the grocery store. YAY

Silly Fishy

Maysie had so much fun splashing in the "big kid tub"! The last pic cracks me up every time I look at it! She's such a riot. Something to look forward to for those of you who don't have kids yet, hours and hours of free entertainment!

Pretty Hair

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE doing Maysie's hair, I'm so very glad we don't have a bald baby girl! I wish I would have had the video camera instead at this moment because Maysie was flipping her dress up and flashing Danner which she thought was hilarious and he was just confused.
